Wednesday, March 1 – Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Africa, the Middle East, and wherever they are being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, and killed for their faith, that they may be given a strong faith that brings their oppressors to their knees in confession and repentance before Him to whom we all must give account.
Thursday, March 2 – Pray for the elders and leadership at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Barrie, Ontario, as they plan for the future with wisdom, faithfulness, and grace.
Friday, March 3 – Pray for the Session of Grace Presbyterian Church, Orleans, Ontario, that God may give them wisdom as they continue to deal with division resulting from the denomination’s changes in doctrine.
Saturday, March 4 – As the Renewal Fellowship Board gathers for prayer today, pray that God may encourage them and give them a fresh vision for their ministry.
Sunday, March 5 – Lent II – Join with Christians around the world in praying for unity, safety, and wisdom as we seek to witness and serve in our communities.
Monday, March 6 – Pray for the Convenor, Donna McIlveen, and the General Secretary, the Rev. Ian Ross-McDonald, as the Life and Mission Agency meets over the next couple of days, that all may have ears to hear one another and make God-honouring decisions.
Tuesday, March 7 – Pray for the Threefold Ministries Board as they gather for their annual meeting this month and seek to discern God’s direction for their ministry work in Nicaragua.
Wednesday, March 8 – Pray that our congregations may know best how to support and encourage new Canadians and share God’s love with them.
Thursday, March 9 – Give thanks for those called to lead worship with the vulnerable and lonely in long-term care residences. Pray that God’s Word and music may bring comfort and peace to all.
Friday, March 10 – Pray for safety, spiritual growth, and memorable moments for youth mission trips taking place this month.
Saturday, March 11 – Pray for sessions as they navigate congregational ministry in an increasingly secular culture.
Sunday, March 12 – Lent III – Pray for the Rev. Andy Cornell and the congregation of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Dresden, Ontario, that his messages may inspire the congregation to grow in their relationship with the Lord, and that they may go out into the world to share the good news.
Monday, March 13 – Pray for the people who gather and serve at the Saskatoon Native Circle in Saskatchewan, that all may experience peace, love, and joy.
Tuesday, March 14 – Pray that our youth will find purpose, meaning, and fulfillment in God, and that He may empower our churches to provide good pastoral care and places for them to serve.
Wednesday, March 15 – As we continue our journey through Lent, may the Holy Spirit reveal hidden vestiges of pride that impede our capacity to serve our neighbours.
Thursday, March 16 – Pray for all recently retired ministers and lay missionaries, that they may be blessed and be a blessing in this new phase of their lives.
Friday, March 17 – Pray for the many refugee families who have come to Canada this past year, as they continue to meet the challenge of starting a new life. Pray, too, that God may guide His people to know best how to support them.
Saturday, March 18 – Pray for Knox Presbyterian Church, Port Carling, Ontario, and Zion Presbyterian Church, Torrance, as they prepare to welcome back annual summer cottagers and visitors to Muskoka Lakes, that they may know best how to serve and care for their communities.
Sunday, March 19 – Lent IV – Pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our churches that may revive His people and bring us true repentance, continual prayer, and joyful praise and worship.
Monday, March 20 – Pray that God will give us eyes to see all that prevents us from embracing the challenges of following Jesus on the road to Calvary.
Tuesday, March 21 – Pray for the Rev. Mikal Schomburg and the staff and Session of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Simcoe, Ontario, as they seek to be witnesses in their community to the transforming love of Jesus.
Wednesday, March 22 – Pray for our pastors and congregational leaders that they might find appropriate rest, peace, and wisdom as they seek to serve their congregations.
Thursday, March 23 – As the school year comes to an end at our three theological colleges, give thanks and pray for the students who continue to sense God’s call to serve the church.
Friday, March 24 – Pray that those who lead youth groups in the Presbyterian Church in Canada may be given energy and wisdom as they help the youth to mature in their faith and to invite their friends to join them.
Saturday, March 25 – Pray that God may provide joy, hope, and direction to the Renewal Fellowship during its Annual Meeting today.
Sunday, March 26 – Lent V – Pray for wisdom and ears to hear God’s direction as the Assembly Council begins its meeting today.
Monday, March 27 – Pray for the convener of the Assembly Council, the Rev. Cherie A. Inksetter, as she leads today’s meeting.
Tuesday, March 28 – Pray for the Rev. Victor Kim, Principal Clerk of the General Assembly, as he prepares for General Assembly in June. Pray, too, for all the staff at 50 Wynford Drive.
Wednesday, March 29 – Pray for Hummingbird Ministries, a Presbyterian outreach, as they bring hope, peace, and healing to Indigenous families living in the Vancouver, British Columbia, area.
Thursday, March 30 – As signs of spring emerge, give thanks that God is with us through every season of life.
Friday, March 31 – Thank the Lord that He has made this wonderful world and knows all things good for us. Ask Him to help us to be wise stewards of all His gifts as we pursue the renewal of our denomination.
